Drink of the Week: Raspberry Moscow Mule

Just in time for celebrating the 4th of July holiday, this refreshing cocktail will make sure to have your guests coming back for more. It truly is an ideal drink for any summertime get together.

It seems that moscow mules are the go-to-drink all of sudden, but they have actually been around for quite a bit of time now.

This variation of the drink sure puts a sweet twist on the original and brings a lively red color from the berries to set off the copper mugs they are generally served up in. You can also use high boy glasses, but truth be told…we love those mugs!

Here’s what you need to pull this cocktail together for your next gathering:

  • 2 oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. fresh squeezed juice from a lime
  • Handful of raspberries (10 or so)
  • 1 bottle of ginger beer
  • Ice

Start by muddling the raspberries and lime juice together in your cocktail shaker. Throw in some ice and your vodka and shake, shake, shake. You want to put this yummy mixture through a sieve or strainer over your mug. Add the ginger beer and garnish with raspberries and add some fresh mint leaves to give it extra zing!

Some of the variations of this recipe do call for a simple syrup or adding agave to your drink – this may depend on the ginger beer you choose, so use at your discretion.

Grab your copper mugs, say something nice about each other and clang that copper together for one refreshing Cheers!

Until next time…
